Advance Materials specialises in providing innovative and high quality language teaching and learning materials at all levels of ability, their mission and values closely reflect those of Cambridge: both organisations share a passion for learning; care and support for teachers and students; and are committed to providing innovative and high-quality materials in print and online.
As a result, the suite of French, Spanish and German publishing will transition to Cambridge University Press with immediate effect. The range of 36 titles includes core textbooks for the International Baccalaureate Diploma and supplementary, skills-based resources, which are applicable more broadly to support schools offering other language qualifications.
This exciting development begins a new line of publishing for International Education, and we aim to continue the hard work and dedication that Advance Materials have shown in creating these high quality resources.
This coursebook helps students explore the new IB Diploma ab initio themes (first examination 2020): identities, experiences, human ingenuity, social organisation and sharing the planet. Designed for students with no previous background in Spanish, this coursebook develops well-rounded language skills and encourages learners to become open minded, international citizens – reflecting the mission of the International Baccalaureate. Authentic texts and vibrant images from around the world are specifically selected for older teenagers and to give them an insight into different cultures and viewpoints. Answers to the coursebook activities and audio accompanying the listening exercises are in the teacher’s resource.
