Michael Evans

Michael Evans has a PhD in Mathematics from Monash University and a Diploma of Education from La Trobe University. He currently holds the honorary position of Senior Consultant at the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute at the University of Melbourne. He was Head of Mathematics at Scotch College, Melbourne, and has also taught in public schools and in recent years has returned to classroom teaching. He has been very involved with curriculum development at both state and national levels. In 1999, Michael was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws by Monash University for his contribution to mathematics education.

Kay Lipson

Kay Lipson has a PhD in Statistics Education, and Diploma of Education. Her experience includes over 30 years teaching mathematics and statistics at both secondary and tertiary level, as well as extensive periods as a VCE examiner. Kay is an experienced author of textbooks for the Years 11 and 12 Mathematics courses, specialising in the areas of Probability and Statistics.

Peter Jones

Peter Jones is a Professor Emeritus and formerly Head of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Swinburne University of Technology. He has been an active supporter of school mathematics over many years and helped pioneer the introduction of graphics calculators into Victorian schools. Peter is a highly experienced writer of mathematical content. His area of expertise is applied statistics.

David Greenwood

David Greenwood is the Head of Mathematics at Trinity Grammar School in Melbourne and has 30+ years teaching mathematics from Year 7 to 12. He is the lead author for the Cambridge Essential series and has authored more than 80 titles for the Australian Curriculum and for the syllabuses of the states and territories. He specialises in analysing curriculum and the sequencing of course content for school mathematics courses. He also has an interest in the use of technology for the teaching of mathematics.

Chicri Maksoud (Consultant)

Chicri Maksoud was a Senior Mathematics Teacher who has taught all levels of mathematics for over 35 years and has been a Mathematics B panellist for over 10 years. Chicri is currently a consultant to the Cambridge Mathematical Methods and Cambridge Specialist Mathematics courses for Queensland. Chicri passed away in early 2022. He is much missed by family, friends, colleagues and students.

Steve Sisson (Consultant)

Steve is Head of Mathematics at Redeemer Lutheran College, Rochedale.

Trevor Redmond (Consultant)

Trevor is Head of Mathematics at Somerville House, South Brisbane.

Ray Minns (Consultant)

Ray is Curriculum Leader – Mathematics at Northpine Christian College, Dakabin.
